FAQ

Where are the Inoya pads made?

Our pads are made in South Korea. All our products are handmade to meet the stringent conditions set by the Korean FDA to ensure product safety for consumers.

What's inside Inoya pads?

Our pads are made with ethically sourced organic cotton for both the top and inner layers. The outer layer has a polyurethane (PU) coating to prevent leaks without additional chemicals. Our manufacturing process is environmentally friendly.

How do Inoya reusable pads work?

Reusable menstrual pads function similarly to disposable pads. Our pads consist of several layers of absorbent organic cotton that wick away moisture and contain the menstrual flow. Our pads have wings that snap under your underwear to keep them securely in place. Change the pad as needed, typically every 3-4 hours or more frequently for heavy flow.

Are reusable period pads comfortable?

Reusable menstrual pads are designed to be comfortable to wear. Our pads are soft, breathable, and have smooth edges to prevent irritation.

Additionally, the use of organic cotton is to enhance your comfort for the most sensitive part of the body.

Are reusable menstrual pads suitable for everyone?

Our pads are suitable for most people who menstruate. They are available in various sizes and absorbencies to accommodate different flows. However, personal preferences and individual circumstances may vary, so it's important to choose the products that work best for you. For those who are  new to re-usable pads/pantyliners, you could start with pantyliners to use with your other menstrual products (e.g. tampons, menstrual cups) and see if it works for you ☺

How many pads/pantyliners do I need?

The number of pads needed depends on your flow and how frequently you prefer to wash them. As a starting point, having around 6-8 pads is usually sufficient. This allows for rotation while some pads are in use and others are being washed and dried.

How to wear and wash Inoya reusable pads?

Please see the 'User Guide'.

Why is the top layer of Inoya's pads light brown? Wouldn't washing be easier if the top layer were a darker colour?

We avoid unnecessary chemicals or dyes in our products. The light brown top layer reflects natural organic cotton colour. It helps users easily observe the amount of blood discharge during their period, aiding them in tracking their menstrual health. We prioritise both sustainability and user wellbeing in our design choices.

How long do Inoya pads last?

With proper use and care, Inoya pads are designed to last 3 years or longer.

Are reusable menstrual pads hygienic and safe?

Yes, reusable menstrual pads will remain hygienic if properly cleaned and cared for. It's important to follow proper washing instructions and maintain good personal hygiene practices during your menstrual cycle.

Do reusable menstrual pads smell bad when carried in a bag?

No, reusable menstrual pads should not emit a strong or unpleasant odour when carried in a bag. When properly cleaned and dried, they should remain fresh and odourless until they are ready to be washed again.

How can I maintain the freshness of reusable menstrual pads while on the go?

To maintain freshness while on the go, consider using a small wet bag or pouch specifically designed for carrying soiled pads. We have wet bags available made of waterproof material that can help contain any potential moisture or odours until you can wash the pads at home.
